1960 – V.E. Anderson opens an extrusion facility in Rome, GA to supply its window manufacturers

1977 – Alcan Building Products purchases the Rome facility along with other V.E. Anderson assets

1990 – The Rome facility is transferred to the Alcan Extrusion division

1994 – The Rome facility is purchased by Profile Extrusion Company

1998 – Profile begins expansion of the Rome facility to make room for a third extrusion press.  A new warehouse is added with 8 shipping docks along with a refurbished 8″ press.

2004 – An automatic control system is integrated into the paint line to improve quality and ensure overall consistency of product.

2006 – Profile grows once again, expanding the building and adding a fourth extrusion press, the 2,750-ton 8-inch diameter Titan.

2011 – Profile moves its two oldest presses, replacing them with Thor — a Prezessi 2,000-ton 7-inch diameter press with OMAV Handling.

2012 – The current capacity at Profile is extrusion of more than 40 million pounds of aluminum per year.
